St Joseph Catholic Multi Academy Trust is based in the Liverpool City Region with five primary and four secondary academies. We are looking for a dynamic and ambitious Finance Business Partner to support the Head of Finance and CFOO in delivering high-quality financial services across the Trust. This role offers a unique blend of financial management, strategy, and digital transformation. You will be instrumental in:

  • Developing modern, automated finance processes using AI and workflow tools.
  • Providing expert financial advice to Headteachers and key stakeholders.
  • Ensuring financial sustainability by producing accurate budgets, forecasts, and management accounts.
  • Driving efficiency and best practice by streamlining processes and supporting procurement strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Finance in managing Trust funds with comprehensive financial management information.
  • Work with the CFOO and Head of Finance to ensure consistent standards and continuous improvement.
  • Meet all statutory financial reporting requirements.
  • Be the Trust’s expert on the application of the corporate Ledger.
  • Ensure compliance with the ESFA’s Financial Handbook and Trust’s Financial Policies.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and quarterly budget setting.
  • Conduct regular bank reconciliations and month-end closedown.
  • Meet regularly with Headteachers and School Business Managers to address specific issues.
  • Perform any other relevant finance-related tasks to assist the Head of Finance.
