The Transforming Learning Group provides a comprehensive range of hands-on ICT and computing support, MIS support, GDPR services, consultancy and training. We have seven brands under the TLG umbrella – GDPR Sentry, Locker, SBM Services, SalamanderSoft, School ICT, Vital York and turn IT on. About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Exam Consultant to join our team and play a key role in delivering a high-quality exam management service to schools. This is a varied and rewarding position where you will oversee the full exam cycle, provide expert guidance, and support schools in meeting compliance standards.
You will also mentor exams officers, helping to build confidence and capability within schools, while contributing to service development and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full examination cycle for schools and clients.
- Coordinate entries, registrations, and timetables in line with awarding body requirements.
- Provide expert advice on JCQ regulations and exam processes.
- Generate seating plans, timetables, and analyse results for senior leaders.
- Mentor exams officers and contribute to training and development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve processes and enhance service delivery.
- Attend remote meetings and occasional school visits.
About You
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Exam Officer or Manager within a school or college.
- Strong knowledge of GCSE, A Level and vocational qualifications, plus JCQ regulations.
- Confident using MIS systems (SIMS, Bromcom, Arbor or similar) and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
- A proactive team player with strong communication skills.
