Salary: £25,003 - £27,525 per annum (This role is term-time only; the salary is in line with working weeks)

Responsibilities
Our mission at School-Home Support is simple. We get children and young people back in school ready to learn, whatever it takes. We are looking for a Family Support Practitioner to join our team and to make a difference in children’s lives every single day. As the Family Support Practitioner, you will be based at the setting and work in close partnership with school staff to deliver a programme of casework to promote and improve educational outcomes for the children and their families we support. You will also focus your support to help improve attendance, punctuality and engagement in learning. This role includes proactive first and subsequent day absence calling with families, to support attendance, alongside associated administrative duties. You will have excellent relationship-building and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate with a wide group of people.
Essential experience
- Working in an education setting or similar to improve a child’s school attendance and engagement in learning
- Working and engaging with parents/carers, children or individuals through individual and/or group-based support
- Factors affecting a child’s capacity to learn
- Working with families from diverse communities
- Holistic family support
- Safeguarding processes and referral routes for safeguarding children
