  • Location: The Hollyfield School (Secondary) Surbiton Hill Rd, Surbiton KT6 4TU
  • Hours: 5 days, Monday-Friday Term time only
  • Salary: £25,003- £27,525 per annum
  • Closing date: Tuesday 30th September
  • Interview dates: 1st Stage Thursday 2nd October (online interview)
  • 2nd Stage interviews: date TBC (in person at the school)
  • This post is a permanent position

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Family Support School Practitioner to join our team and to make a difference in children’s lives every single day. As the Family Support School Practitioner, you will work in close partnership with school staff to deliver a programme of casework to promote and improve educational outcomes for the children and their families we support. You will also focus your support to help improve attendance, punctuality and engagement in learning.

You will have excellent relationship building and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate with a wide group of individuals. This is an exciting role and vital to our success in achieving our goals.

You’ll have previous experience of:

  • providing expert pastoral support
  • working and engaging with parents, carers or guardians, children or individuals through individual and/or group-based support
  • working in an educational or outreach environment
  • working effectively with social and emotional factors affecting a child’s capacity to learn
  • working with families from diverse communities
