Hours: 5 days per week, Term Time Only + inset days

Salary: £25,003 - £27,525 per annum (This role is term-time only; the salary is in line with working weeks)

Responsibilities:

  • We are looking for a Family Support Practitioner to join our team and to make a difference in children’s lives every single day.
  • As the Family Support Practitioner, you will be based at the setting and work in close partnership with school staff to deliver a programme of casework to promote and improve educational outcomes for the children and their families we support.
  • You will also focus your support to help improve attendance, punctuality and engagement in learning.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Working in an education setting or similar to improve a child’s school attendance and engagement in learning.
  • Working and engaging with parents/carers, children or individuals through individual and/or group-based support.
  • Factors affecting a child’s capacity to learn.
  • Working with families from diverse communities.
  • Holistic family support.
  • Safeguarding processes and referral routes for safeguarding children.
