As countries around the world are seeking to develop modern real‑time payment systems, Mastercard is partnering with customers to deliver a suite of solutions to meet their infrastructure, application and services needs. Building from acquisitions in the United Kingdom and the Nordics, Mastercard provides a leading infrastructure ecosystem that supports real‑time payment providers, banks, and their customers worldwide. This position reports to a Finance Director in the RTP team and partners with a variety of teams to manage financial planning & analysis deliverables and support strategic analyses across the RTP business.
Responsibilities
- Work cross‑functionally with business partners to support financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and target setting.
- Perform revenue and expense analyses to meet business needs.
- Scrutinise new business cases and challenge assumptions using data sources and independent analyses.
- Ensure a sound, well‑controlled financial environment.
- Collaborate with RTP programs to identify, measure and deliver expense‑efficiency opportunities and drive process improvements.
- Produce and present product financials and business performance analyses, including tracking of progress against budget and business cases.
- Partner and engage with other Mastercard finance functions, including Controllership, Tax, Treasury, Product & Engineering, and regional finance teams.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to collaborate in a matrixed organization.
- Strategic thinking with an executive‑level view while also being able to dive into details.
- Experience working in geographically dispersed teams.
- Fluency in English; excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Effective communication at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated history of thoughtful risk‑taking, business acumen, thought leadership, commitment, and a strong sense of urgency.
- Executive presence, ability to influence others, and demonstrated intellectual horsepower.
- Experience in getting up to speed quickly on new topics and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting and an accounting qualification preferred.
- Solid accounting and financial skills, including modelling, scenario analysis, budgeting, planning, forecasting, risk management, and a solid understanding of business or demonstrated learning agility.
- Operational experience is very desirable.
- Experience with Oracle and Hyperion helpful.
- International experience is a plus.
