AstraZeneca-Funded Non-Clinical PhD Studentship in the UK. Fully funded studentship (Stipend, tuition fees, consumables, and training support) for the academic year 2025-2026. Eligibility Criteria

Eligible Countries: Open to UK (Home) applicants and international students eligible for Home fee status.

Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for a PhD in Medicine (Cardiometabolic Research).

Admissible Criteria:

  • Applicants must hold (or expect to obtain) at least a 2:1 Honours degree or a Master’s in a relevant discipline.
  • Laboratory research experience is essential.
  • Skills in data analysis or small animal models are desirable.

Advanced training in molecular analysis, mass spectrometry, multi-omics, and preclinical cardiometabolic models; professional development in research integrity, ethical design, and data stewardship; and access to Cambridge’s world-class research facilities and cardiovascular research community.
