Scholars School System is a project of UK CURRICULUM & ACCREDITATION BODY (UKCAB, a registered charity founded in 2006) having campuses across the United Kingdom, is looking for a Retention Officer based in the Bradford campus. Scholars School System is a national independent higher education provider, offering world class education. Taught programmes, ranging from Foundation Year through to Level 7, delivered in partnership with institutions such as Leeds Trinity University. Over 5000 (UK and EU) learners have successfully completed their learning journey in the last five years with the current student population is over 3000.

Purpose
Scholars School System is seeking to appoint a Retention Officer who will be responsible for collecting, maintaining the daily attendance registers and input details into database. You will be required to maintain student database. You will assist in providing support to students all through their studies. You will liaise with tutors accordingly and provide training when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Collect and maintain the daily attendance registers and input details into database.
- Maintain and update student database.
- File and record all documents provided by students to support absences and leave requests.
- Investigate all absences of students and ensure retention procedure is adhered to.
- Identify and monitor all ‘at risk’ students and instigate early interventions to support a resolution for irregular attendance.
- Participate in extra curriculum duties as and when necessary for the benefit of supporting students and college events.
- Liaise with tutors, accordingly, provide training and guidance if necessary.
- Liaise with Academic Officers to support students.
- Action attendance spreadsheets and analyse data for report findings.
- Provide support to students throughout their studies.
- Produce letters as per student and staff request.
- Deal with student complaints.
- Assist with administration duties as and when required.
- Perform ad hoc duties as and when necessary.
- Understand safeguarding and prevent policies.
- Participate in continuing professional development when it is necessary for the job role.
- Work in accordance with organisational policies.
Requirements
Essentials
- Must have minimum 2 years of experience in higher education sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in any related field.
- Experience of working in Higher Education sector.
- Must have a good knowledge of using database like CRM.
- Exhibit strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Must have a good communication skill.
- Experience of providing support and ensuring student engagement.
Benefits
- Salary: £27,000 - £30,000.
- Basic hours are 9am to 6pm on site.
- Evening and weekend work required as appropriate.
- Trips away from the office are often required.
- Holiday entitlement is 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
- Up to £5k annual incentives pro-rata given quarterly on meeting KPIs upon successful probation period.
- 5% annual increase per year on completion from your start date of service and on meeting KPIs.
