Responsibilities include managing all aspects of the student academic journey, maintaining accurate student records and overall student progression, with oversight from the Head of Department & Year Lead. Contribute through module and/or course leadership to maintain quality and achieve academic excellence. Contribute to the assessment process, including marking and moderation of work individually or collectively as part of a team, following quality assurance procedures. Ensure 90% attendance, 90% pass rates and 90% student retention. Engage in a minimum of 20 hours of teaching per week. Design and develop innovative, inclusive and inspiring resources, including e‐learning. Act as a personal academic tutor where required to support individual learner progress. Ensure all teaching, learning and assessment activities meet SSS quality assurance processes and external quality standards. Promote innovation and excellence in student education, maximizing digital resources with a focus on student partnership. Collaborate with professional services staff and attend meetings to enhance the student journey. Carry out academic administrative duties and participate in relevant committees. Ground teaching in contemporary research, scholarship, knowledge exchange and professional practice, enhancing students' ability to engage in debate, critical discourse and thinking. When appropriate, undertake research, scholarship, knowledge transfer and dissemination through publication. Maintain personal and professional development to meet changing demands of the role and participate in appropriate training activities.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Health & Social Care or a health‐related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of UK teaching experience.
  • Higher Education teaching qualification (PGCert, SFHEA, AFHEA or FHEA).
  • Enthusiasm for delivering a high‐quality educational experience.
  • Record of leading successful program development and educational pedagogy thought‐leadership.
  • Experience supervising student work, marking, assessment and providing support and feedback.
  • Previous experience in course management and module leadership is desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with clear verbal and written expression.
  • Proficiency in virtual learning environments (e.g., Moodle, Canvas) and digital tools, blended learning methodologies.
  • Knowledge of formative and summative assessment methods, marking criteria and feedback strategies that support student learning.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly to varied audiences.
  • Play an integral role in the promotion of equality, diversity and inclusion, ensuring students feel valued and belong.

Salary & Benefits:

  • ÂŁ36,000 – ÂŁ40,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
  • Up to ÂŁ5,000 annual incentives (pro‐rata, quarterly) based on meeting KPIs after successful probation.
  • 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • 5% annual salary increase per year after completion of your start date of service and meeting KPIs.
  • Complimentary lunch on working days.

Employment Details:

  • Full‐time, permanent.
  • Basic hours: 9 am – 6 pm onsite.
  • May involve travel to other campuses, with all travel costs reimbursed.
