Working across all sectors, often in complex or highly regulated industries, our real estate team offers a broad and deep understanding of the property industry and technical expertise. Our clients range from property developers, investors, and lenders to public and third-sector organisations such as schools and health-sector bodies. We work in a variety of sectors, from energy and renewables to retail, leisure, and hospitality and from transport to logistics.

We are now looking to appoint a new solicitor with 3–6 years’ PQE to join our Leeds office.

The role

This role offers an excellent opportunity to broaden your knowledge and experience. You will assist senior lawyers on a variety of real estate matters, including licences to assign and underlet, drafting and negotiating leases, sales and purchases, reports on title, property finance and development work. You will also be encouraged to manage your own matters, build client relationships, and occasionally support colleagues in other teams, such as Corporate and Restructuring. We expect you to play an active role in business development initiatives and contribute to the continuing success of the firm.

What we’re looking for

You must have proven experience in real estate work and ideally exposure to more complex matters such as asset management, agreements for lease, leases and surrenders, commercial and residential development, and investment work (acting for both individual and institutional landlords). You should be able to clearly identify your contribution to successful outcomes in these matters. We require 3–6 years’ PQE and a genuine interest in progressing your career within a forward‑thinking, commercial team. You will demonstrate a collaborative and flexible working style, strong organisational skills, and an approachable, friendly, and open manner. Excellent communication skills are essential, along with the ability to show empathy and sensitivity, helping to promote a reassuring experience for our clients.

This role is part of our hybrid working model, combining office‑based work with remote working.

How to apply

If you have the skills and experience we’re looking for and this opportunity feels right for you, we’d love to hear from you.
