With a team of 20, including 4 Partners and 6 full members of STEP working across our West Yorkshire offices, our Private Wealth and Succession (PWS) team continues to grow. We advise high‑net‑worth individuals, business owners, and families with complex personal, business, and international assets. Our work is varied, interesting, and often important at key moments in our clients’ lives, whether that’s planning for the future or guiding them through estate administration with clarity and care.
The role involves appointing an experienced solicitor to join our Bradford team at either the Associate or Director level. You’ll support our Partners in managing the firm and play an active role in maintaining the high standards we set, leading by example and supporting more junior colleagues. You’ll be a key part of the Private Wealth team, advising clients across wills, trusts, succession planning, estate administration, LPAs, capacity issues, and tax matters.
Day to day, this will include:
- Drafting wills
- Advising on succession planning
- Preparing trust documents
- Handling TRS compliance
- Drafting LPAs
- Managing estate administration matters, including Deeds of Variation
You’ll guide clients through what can be a challenging time with clarity and empathy. If you join as a Director, you’ll also contribute to business strategy, build relationships internally and externally, and take a leading role in developing junior team members and internal practices. You’ll also be encouraged to get involved in business development and contribute to the continued success of the firm.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience (or a strong understanding) of working with high-net-worth clients and/or business owners
- At least 5 years’ PQE, and ideally STEP membership
- A collaborative and flexible approach, with experience supporting more junior colleagues
- Strong organisation, clear communication, and a friendly, approachable style
- Ability to show empathy and sensitivity with clients
This role is part of our hybrid working model.
