Senior Engineer in Telford

Location: UK based, with flexibility to work from home. Preferred locations are Warrington, Telford or London.

Salary: Up to £60,000 + 10% bonus + benefits

Working pattern: Standard office hours Mon - Fri, no shift work

Are you an experienced BMS, electrical or critical-power engineer who enjoys analysing system performance, solving complex technical issues and turning data into practical recommendations? We are looking for a Senior BMS & Electrical Systems Engineer to join Schneider Electric's Digital Services Remote Operations team. This is a proactive engineering role focused on remotely monitoring and analysing sophisticated electrical and Building Management Systems across a portfolio of major customers. You will use system data, diagnostics and analytics to identify issues, improve reliability, uncover energy-saving opportunities and help customers get more from their assets.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Monitor connected electrical and BMS assets and investigate system events, alarms and performance issues.
• Carry out remote diagnostics and troubleshoot complex technical problems.
• Analyse system and asset data to identify trends, potential failures and opportunities for optimisation.
• Conduct predictive analysis and provide recommendations that improve asset reliability and performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and overall system operation.
• Turn complex technical data into clear reports, visualisations and practical recommendations.
• Provide technical consultancy and guidance to customers, helping them understand system performance and recommended actions.
• Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders and act as a trusted technical point of contact.
• Support colleagues with complex or escalated technical issues and share knowledge across the wider team.

You will have a strong engineering background in one or more of the following areas:

• Building Management Systems, BMS
• Electrical distribution or electrical systems
• Critical or secure power
• Data centres or other critical environments
• Building automation, controls or connected building systems

You should also be comfortable working with system data and using it to diagnose problems, identify trends and recommend improvements.

We would particularly like to hear from you if you have:

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Experience analysing BMS, electrical or asset-performance data.
• Knowledge of predictive analytics or condition-based monitoring.
• Experience working with asset management, monitoring or IoT platforms.
• The ability to interpret technical information and explain findings clearly to customers.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• A proactive problem-solving approach and the confidence to work independently.
• Experience supporting large, complex or high-profile customer environments.

This role is focused on understanding how systems are performing, analysing the information available and turning that insight into meaningful action for the customer.

This is a UK-based role. The position is primarily focused on remote monitoring, diagnostics and customer support, rather than regular site-based engineering. You will have flexibility to work from home depending on your location and team requirements, with preferred locations around Warrington, Telford or London. Most customer support is delivered remotely, although occasional customer visits may be required where this adds value. There is no shift pattern, with the team working standard office hours.

For this UK based position, the expected pay range is GBP 50,400 - GBP 75,600 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United Kingdom. Our pay ranges are determined by the local market.
