Senior Project Engineer – SCADA & AVEVA PI (Hybrid, Coventry)
We are hiring a Senior Project Engineer to join our UK Process Automation Delivery Engineering Team, based in Coventry. You will work on projects in sectors such as water, wastewater, and critical national infrastructure.
You will lead and deliver SCADA telemetry engineering solutions, often involving the AVEVA PI System. This includes design, configuration, testing, and commissioning, as well as mentoring junior engineers. Projects vary in length and complexity, from small orders to multi-year programmes.
The role is hybrid, with two days in the office and three from home, plus occasional UK and Ireland travel (around 10%). You must hold a valid UK driving licence.
What you will do
• Deliver technical solutions for SCADA telemetry and AVEVA PI systems.
• Design and configure hardware, software, and network systems.
• Lead testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Review and approve engineering documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and share technical expertise.
• Support bid teams with technical input and planning.
What you bring
• Proven experience with SCADA telemetry systems, ideally Geo SCADA.
• Hands-on experience with AVEVA PI or similar.
• Knowledge of computer networking, digital communications, and cloud technologies.
• Understanding of cybersecurity at control system level.
• Experience in sectors such as water, oil and gas, or utilities.
