As our HSES Manager, you will be the site's champion for Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainability. You will design, lead and continuously enhance our HSES strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and alignment with Schneider Electric's Group Sustainability commitments. You will work closely with leadership teams, site employees, auditors, and external authorities—acting as the trusted expert for all HSES matters.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead HSE & Sustainability Strategy: Develop and drive a proactive HSES culture across the site. Lead H&S issues, lead improvement plans, and deploy group H&S standards. Promote physical, mental, and social wellbeing through robust health initiatives.
- Ensure Compliance & Operational Excellence: Guarantee compliance with all Health, Safety, Environment, Energy and Facility Management regulations. Lead internal IMS audits and represent the site during external audits. Manage environmental performance: waste management, emissions control, environmental standards (ROHS, WEEE, etc.). Deploy and monitor professional risk assessments, environmental analysis, and energy reviews. Put in place and manage emergency response and contingency plans.
- Drive Sustainability Performance: Champion sustainability across all site operations in line with Group commitments. Define and implement energy reduction plans aligned with Schneider Electric guidelines. Report on sustainability KPIs and performance to the Plant Director.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Governance: Act as the natural point of contact for employee councils, healthcare bodies, local and national HSE authorities. Support procurement and cost management for PPE and safety-related equipment. Ensure accurate communication and KPI reporting across and outside the plant.
What You Will Bring
- 5+ years' experience in EHS leadership within a complex manufacturing environment.
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent H&S qualification) as minimum.
- Successful track record in sustainability initiatives.
- Strong IT literacy across Microsoft applications.
- Lead Auditor accreditation is an advantage.
