Mission: The Machine Maintenance Engineer will primarily be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of machinery and equipment of all items on site, to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. The candidate will have strong technical expertise and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Preventive Maintenance: Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans to ensure machinery and equipment are operating at peak efficiency.
- Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with machinery and equipment.
- Inspection: Conduct regular inspections of machines and equipment to identify potential problems and address them proactively.
- Troubleshooting: Quickly troubleshoot and resolve issues to minimize production downtime.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Spare Parts Management: Manage inventory of spare parts and order replacements as needed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production and engineering teams to improve machine performance and reliability.
Skills and Qualifications:
- NVQ in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in machine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software.
