Mission: As part of the wider Sustainable Development team in the UK&I, the Sustainability Specialist will play an integral role in planning, driving and executing sustainability and wider environment projects across the UK&I territory in order to achieve Schneider Electric's sustainability commitments. The Sustainability Specialist will be responsible for driving cross-functional projects across the UK and Ireland, while also improving and driving employee engagement around sustainability topics.
Key responsibilities
- Work directly with sites, facility management providers, suppliers, business functions etc. to collect sustainability and environment data.
- Input and manage data quality and coverage in Resource Advisor and other tools, in line with reporting requirements.
- Analyse sustainability data and prepare reports on a monthly and quarterly basis, highlighting variances against previous reporting periods and working to understand these.
- Use data to drive evidence-based, strategic decision making (e.g. waste improvements, real estate decarbonisation, energy efficiency programmes).
- Develop and execute clear project plans, including timelines for deployment, to ensure sustainability targets and wider business objectives are met.
- Engage with key stakeholders to ensure progress towards sustainability targets.
- Support business functions on sustainability integration.
- Collaborate with a number of stakeholders, internal and external, on sustainability topics.
- Drive wider territory engagement on sustainability topics through the development of training programmes, written communications etc.
