At Schneider Electric, we are committed to solving real-world problems to create a sustainable, digitalised and new electrical future. Our data centres support the world’s leading cloud, hyperscale and colocation players through their digital and energy transformation.

You will join the OneSol Europe Team in charge of all Solution Business activities (Tendering & Execution), with a strong focus on Data Centre projects. You will be part of the Cloud & Service Providers (C&SP) organization, supporting Strategic Data Centre Accounts across Europe (UK & Ireland, France, Netherlands, BeNe, Italy, Spain, Greece, etc.).

Your Role: Reporting to the Head of Tendering, in a hybrid position based in France, the UK or Spain, you will act as the technical authority for complex Data Centre and Multi-System Integration opportunities. Your role starts once the customer publishes its specification (RFQ): you build the bridge between the spec and the factories, check that the technical response meets the spec, and manage any deviations (highlighting, negotiating) through to first order. As the cycle between first prescription and first order is often very short (6 months to 1 year), you will drive end-to-end technical coordination with a high level of autonomy and no direct line management.

You have a strong command of the full data centre architecture: cooling (from chiller to CDU), UPS, medium and low voltage electrical distribution, transformers, and power train.

Your Missions:

  • Capture, analyze, and translate customer requirements into integrated and scalable technical solutions that deliver measurable customer value.
  • Define and lead the overall solution architecture across electrical, mechanical, cooling, digital, software, and third-party systems, ensuring performance, reliability, and compatibility.
  • Design and prescribe the standard architectures for the key regional accounts.
  • Develop differentiated and competitive technical strategies that support business growth and increase the likelihood of success on complex opportunities.
  • Lead technical solution development activities, including system integration, design optimization, equipment selection, and engineering scope definition.
  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications, Schneider Electric standards, industry regulations, and technical governance requirements.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks, assumptions, constraints, and interface challenges throughout the opportunity lifecycle.
  • Support customer workshops, technical presentations, proof-of-concepts, and solution validation activities, building customer confidence and trust.
  • Define engineering effort, resource requirements, and execution assumptions to ensure successful delivery following project award.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to tendering, engineering, sales, and execution teams while contributing to innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

Your Profile: Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or equivalent. Minimum 5 years of experience in solution engineering, technical leadership, system architecture, or customer project environments, with proven experience designing and leading complex integrated solutions involving multiple technologies and stakeholders.

Your Competencies:

  • Technical Solution Architecture & System Integration: expertise in defining end-to-end architectures, integrating multi-technology solutions, and ensuring optimal system performance and scalability.
  • Engineering & Design Excellence: strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, cooling, automation, digital, and software solutions.
  • Customer Engagement & Technical Consulting: ability to understand customer challenges, influence technical decisions, and translate business needs into practical solutions.
  • Risk Management & Problem Solving: capability to assess technical risks, manage complex interfaces, and make sound decisions in ambiguous environments.

Experience working in international and matrix organizations is required; experience in Data Centres environments is highly desirable; knowledge of system integration involving both Schneider Electric and third-party technologies is a strong advantage. Fluent English is required; additional languages are an advantage.
