The Industrial & Process Automation Category Manager is accountable for developing and implementing strategies to drive profitability and expand Schneider Electric’s market share. This role will be responsible for the price, place, and promotion of the portfolio within the Process Automation category. The role requires a strong foundation in marketing and engineering fundamentals. Success demands a well-organized, strategic thinker who is highly articulate with excellent presentation skills. The ability to develop solutions, market approaches, and campaigns that increase Schneider Electric's penetration in the Process Automation market is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary contact for marketing the PLC, PAC & HMI portfolio, including positioning, launch, promotion, commercial monitoring, and performance tracking.
- Identify tangible market opportunities and develop/implement go-to-market strategies that drive order intake and secure market share.
- Design and execute promotion and awareness campaigns to support prescription efforts and sales opportunities, including customer/project-specific bid opportunities and advising sales teams on profitability and product suitability.
- Deploy new offers within the PLC, PAC & HMI portfolio, ensuring fit for different customer types and segment applications, and build plans to maximize profitability.
- Create and regularly monitor KPIs to ensure campaigns and initiatives deliver the desired impact, adjusting as necessary.
- Act as the offer champion, being fully conversant in technical and application aspects of the portfolio.
- Commit to continual self-development.
- Develop and adapt communications by channel, segment, and entity through marketing materials that promote and inform on offer capabilities.
- Capture and utilize competitor knowledge effectively within the business.
- Collaborate with other category managers to share best practices and explore cross-sell opportunities across Schneider Electric business units and channels.
Skills & Attributes:
- Proven experience in Product Management, Technical Marketing, or Business Development within industrial automation.
- Strong knowledge of PLC, PAC, and HMI solutions and their industrial applications.
- Experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies, product launches, and growth initiatives.
- Strong commercial and customer-centric mindset with the ability to identify market opportunities and drive profitable growth.
- Analytical, data-driven, and process-oriented approach with experience using KPIs to support decision-making.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, international environment.
- Digital mindset with an interest in e-commerce, digital marketing, and social media-driven value creation.
- Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.

For this UK based position, the expected pay range is GBP 83,200 - GBP 124,800 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United Kingdom. Our pay ranges are determined by the local market.
