Schneider Electric is a leader in providing solutions for environmental controls (BMS) and energy and power monitoring (EMS). To drive our growth further and provide support to our strategic customers in the UK, we are looking for a Tendering Engineer with an interest in front end design, consulting and estimation to join our team. The successful candidate will work across a portfolio of our key customers developing designs and helping estimate the cost of our offers.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare design schemes and solutions based on the requirements and client requests
- Work with engineers in BMS team and power monitoring teams to get additional design inputs for complex schemes
- Work with sub-contractors for panels quotes
- Work with sub-contractors for installation quotes
- Prepare cost estimates and manage internal approvals on costs as appropriate
- Present the offers to clients, and attend mid-bid and post bid clarification meetings
- Work with sales to attend negotiations and close out contracts
- Prepare handover to operations for delivery
- Provide support to forecasting
- Support the introduction of new technologies and solutions to clients
- Update work efforts in SE CRM tool (BFO)
Skills & Experience:
- Be able to demonstrate related work experience and a strong track record in a similar role
- Qualified to degree level in a relevant discipline (Engineering) or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated background with building management systems
- Passionate about engineering design
- Ability to engage with Customers
