The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of commissioning, testing, maintenance, fault diagnosis, modification, and refurbishment activities across HV and LV electrical distribution systems, switchgear, substations, and associated critical power infrastructure up to 33kV.This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of industrial, commercial, utility, renewable energy, critical infrastructure, data centre, defence, and power distribution projects throughout the UK and internationally.The role is ideally suited to an engineer who enjoys hands-on commissioning, technical problem-solving, customer interaction, and working within demanding project environments while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and technical excellence.In addition to conventional HV/LV distribution systems, the role will involve exposure to Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, protection and control systems, and critical power applications.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical DeliveryPerform commissioning activities on HV and LV switchgear, substations, transformers, protection systems, and associated plant up to 33kV.Conduct functional testing, secondary injection testing, relay configuration, and protection verification.Perform installation supervision, commissioning, maintenance, modifications, refurbishment, and fault diagnosis activities.Support system energisation, integration, and operational handover.Lead technical investigations and resolve protection, control, and network-related defects.Support commissioning activities on ATS systems, EV charging infrastructure.Carry out Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) where required.Assist with systems.Experience installing, commissioning, maintaining, and fault-finding on switchgear and substations up to 33kV.Experience working independently and as part of a multidiscipline engineering team.Experience working on UK, overseas, and offshore projects.Strong background in protection and control systems commissioning.Experience supervising commissioning activities and site
