Based out of our Leeds site, Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for the right person to join our well-established team as a Team Leader.

What do you get to do in this position?

In this role you will be supervising, developing and leading a well-established team of 15 to 20 shop floor workers and ensuring the safe and efficient manufacture and test of Schneider Electric range of products.

What are your key responsibilities in the role?

  • You will lead the production team.
  • You will ensure a safe working environment and that all legal Health and Safety obligations are met. Support Health and Safety representatives. Ensure all personnel are H&S conscious and fully aware of their obligations.
  • You will motivate staff, monitor, control and report upon the delivery performance of the production area.
  • You will strive to deliver cost effective improvements into the efficiency of the production area and provide evidence of such improvements.
  • In order to ensure skills are available to meet the present and future needs of the department, determine and implement as agreed with Process Manager, training requirement for staff. Ensure training records are maintained in accordance with Company procedures.

This role might be for you if?

  • Adequate GCSE grades in English / Maths.
  • Extensive practical experience in similar Team Leader role.
  • Knowledge / understanding of staff supervision practices.
