Solutions Tender Engineer

Preferred Location: Leeds Office; Alternative Location: Hatfield Office. Working: Hybrid (Minimum 2 days from office, Tuesdays and Wednesdays).

This role is at the heart of our UK Solution Centre business, working with medium and low-voltage switchgear, power and distribution transformers, EV‑charging infrastructure, UPS, cooling equipment, containerised solutions and services for utilities, DNOs, renewables, contracting, datacentres and other large‑scale infrastructure projects.

What You’ll Do

  • Analyse complex RFQs and deliver best‑in‑class tender proposals.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the solution meets or exceeds customer demands.
  • Perform cost planning, risk assessments, optimise solutions along with technical support teams and enhance profitability to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Co‑lead negotiations with customers and suppliers to secure orders.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proactive profile with strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, with a focus on collaboration.
  • Technical expertise in cost planning, bid/tender management or execution of projects for utilities, DNOs, renewables, contracting, datacentres or large‑scale infrastructure projects (medium and low‑voltage electrical systems).
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following solutions: medium and low‑voltage switchgear, power and distribution transformers, EV‑charging infrastructure, UPS, cooling equipment, containerised solutions and respective implementation services.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Degree‑level education in Engineering, Project Management or Business, or equivalent experience.
  • Previous work experience in sales, tendering or execution of electrical infrastructure projects.
