Schneider Electric Ireland is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Large Customer Projects team. This team delivers the largest and most complex Customer Projects across all technology scopes in the country, working at the forefront of Electrical, Controls, Automation, and Digital solutions. Scopes include MV & LV Equipment, Building Management Solutions, Power Monitoring & Automation Systems and Datacentre Solutions (UPS, Cooling, etc.)

As Senior Project Manager, you will lead strategic, high-value projects end-to-end, working closely with a diverse group of stakeholders across the business. You will be supported by expert Engineering Talent from our various Business Unit teams, helping you deliver outstanding technical and commercial outcomes for our customers. This is a senior leadership position suitable for an individual with deep industry experience, strong commercial acumen, and a proven track record in delivering high-complexity customer projects safely, profitably, and to the highest customer satisfaction standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership & Delivery
    • Lead the full lifecycle of complex customer projects across all in-country technology scopes.
    • Drive project strategy, execution, delivery quality, and customer outcomes.
    • Ensure all project activities comply with Schneider Electric standards, local regulations, and safety policies.
  • Commercial & Contractual Management
    • Take full ownership of project P&L, including margin management, cash flow, and commercial performance.
    • Conduct accurate, timely cost reporting, forecasting, and financial risk analysis.
    • Manage contractual obligations, claims, variations, and commercial negotiations.
  • Risk, Governance & Safety
    • Identify, assess, and mitigate technical, commercial, and delivery risks throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Ensure rigorous adherence to safety requirements and promote a strong safety culture.
    • Support internal governance processes and ensure high standards of documentation and compliance.
  • Stakeholder & Customer Engagement
    • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary internal teams, including Engineering, Sales, Tendering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Business leaders.
    • Engage proactively with external stakeholders such as customers, partners, contractors, and suppliers.
    • Maintain strong customer relationships with a focus on transparency, communication, and satisfaction.
  • Team Collaboration & Technical Coordination
    • Leverage the expertise of Engineering Teams, Business Units and supply chain to ensure robust design, delivery, and integration.
    • Support knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and best practice adoption within the Large Projects team.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • Experience in Project Management within the Electrical, Controls, Automation, or Contracting industries.
  • Strong commitment to teamwork, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse functions while contributing to a positive, high-performance project culture.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Strong commercial, contractual, and financial management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project P&L, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong capability in risk management and project governance.

Desirable

  • Experience working with an equipment vendor, software solutions provider, or within a construction/contracting environment.
  • BEng / MEng Engineering Qualification – Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Software, etc.
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP, Prince2, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with Schneider Electric’s technology portfolio or similar energy/automation platforms.
