As a Senior Project Manager within Schneider Electric’s Process Automation business, you drive the successful delivery of high-value, large-scale industrial automation projects across the UK and Europe. You take full ownership from planning through execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while building strong relationships with strategic clients and leading multidisciplinary teams in complex, high-risk environments.

Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end management of complex automation projects (multi-million budget).
  • Ownership of scope, cost, schedule, risk, and quality across assigned projects.
  • Delivery of solutions involving DCS, SCADA, PLC, Safety, Cyber Security, and Digital systems.
  • Leadership of cross-functional internal teams and external subcontractors.
  • Main point of contact for key clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Governance, reporting, and performance tracking across multiple projects (typically 2 major projects).
  • Management of projects in both Greenfield and Brownfield environments.

  • Strong industrial project management expertise in automation and control systems.
  • Proven track record delivering DCS, SCADA, PLC, and Safety projects in high-value environments.
  • Confident leadership of multidisciplinary, internal and external teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen (cost control, forecasting, risk management).
  • Ownership mindset with high accountability and decision-making capability.
  • Structured, detail-oriented, and quality-driven working style.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and effective in complex, high-risk project environments.
  • Customer-focused with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK and Europe (~10%).

Education:

  • Degree in Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field (preferred).
  • PMP or equivalent formal Project Management certification (preferred).

For this UK based position, the expected pay range is GBP 74,400 - GBP 111,600 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United Kingdom. Our pay ranges are determined by the local market.
