Role Title: BMS Design Engineer (Centre of Excellence) Location: Role is mainly remote. Mission As a key member of our Global Engineering, Centre of Excellence team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation & submittal of RIBA Stage 3 to 5 Designs for BMS (Building Management System) and ENMS (Electrical Network Management System), working with our Global Strategic Accounts customers in the rapidly expanding Data Centre and Life Sciences segments. Key Responsibilities Design lead and the principal point of contact for the customer & key stakeholders on assigned projects, acting as our customers’ trusted advisor in all aspects of BMS/ENMS design & technical solutions. Preparation of defined BMS/ENMS design deliverables for RIBA Stage 3, 4 & 5, typically including Network Architectures, Points Schedules, Sequence of Operations, etc, in accordance with defined customer standards. Lead customer and stakeholder meetings & workshops, to ensure the required design outputs are fully coordinated with other design disciplines and delivered in a timely manner. Identification of scope changes, including provision of necessary information to support claims for time/cost impact. Actively collaborate and co-ordinate with internal teams, ensuring flow of information to allow efficient Software & Graphics production. Contribute to the development & continuous improvement of customer engineering standards. Skills and Attributes The core requirement for the role will be to have demonstrable experience in the design of Building Management Systems , ideally within the Life Sciences (pharmaceutical) and/or Data Centres or similar mission critical market segments. The role needs to operate on a truly international basis, working with global projects & high levels of co-ordination with teams from multiple countries - excellent communication skills will be required. Ability to manage multiple projects /time constrained deliverables through strong planning and reprioritisation where required. A high degree of collaboration, proactivity & agility are key attributes for the role, to ensure we successfully deliver the highest levels of quality & customer satisfaction, in what is a very fast paced & dynamic environment. Extensive technical knowledge of integrating 3 rd party systems into BMS/EMS is required. Qualifications Ideally qualified to degree level in relevant engineering discipline, however candidates with other qualifications & demonstrable experience in a BMS/HVAC Design role will also be welcome.
