Overview
In this role you will drive the adoption and growth of EcoStruxure Automation Expert (EAE) across UK & Ireland by delivering technical expertise, tailored automation solutions, and value-focused demonstrations. You will partner with sales, OEMs, integrators, and end users to design and deploy EAE-based architectures, supporting customers through the full project lifecycle. You will also develop technical content, run discovery workshops, and represent Schneider Electric at industry events. This is a technically hands-on, customer-facing role with travel across the UKI and occasional Europe.

Responsibilities
- Provide technical application expertise and pre-sales support to drive customer adoption of EAE
- Partner with sales teams, OEMs, system integrators, and end users to design, develop, and optimize automation applications using EAE
- Lead technical discovery sessions, workshops, and customer engagements to identify requirements and tailor automation solutions
- Support customers throughout the project lifecycle, including development, deployment, troubleshooting, and migrations to EAE
- Design, implement, test, and validate automation architectures, software applications, and control solutions
- Develop demonstrations, proofs-of-concepts, and customer-specific use cases
- Create technical documentation, application guides, best practices, reusable blocks, and customer success stories
- Collaborate with global Centres of Competence and Lines of Business to drive innovation and scalability of EAE solutions
- Deliver technical training, workshops, and enablement activities for customers, partners, and internal stakeholders
- Deliver proofs of value and minimum value proposition projects
- Represent Schneider Electric at industry events and technical forums to promote open/software-defined automation
Key requirements
- Strong expertise in Industrial Automation, Control Systems, and industrial software applications
- Ability to design and implement automation architectures using EAE (61499) and IT languages (Python, rust, C#)
- Solid understanding of IT/OT convergence, IIoT, industrial networking, and communication protocols
- Knowledge of traditional PLC programming, SCADA/DCS, and modern automation technologies
- Experience with object-oriented programming and software development practices
- Commercial mindset with ability to support technical sales discussions and customer engagements
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to simplify complex concepts
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and capable of working in a matrix organisation
- Experience with C/C++, Python, JavaScript, Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux environments is advantageous
- Exposure to manufacturing, packaging, material handling, infrastructure, transportation, or utility applications beneficial
