About the Position: Schneider Electric is dedicated to empowering people to use energy and resources sustainably while driving digital transformation. The FAT Engineer role is part of a well-established team that designs and delivers factory acceptance testing for industrial and commercial solutions across homes, buildings, data centres, infrastructure and industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure proper functioning of equipment manufactured in accordance with technical guides, engineering drawings and industry best practice.
  • Ensure safety of persons and property in the working area.
  • Troubleshoot issues and support assembly technicians in root-cause analysis.
  • Safely connect units to the mains power supply, verifying that all requirements and protocols are met.
  • Read and understand schematic and GA drawings.
  • Perform Primary Injection Testing.
  • Conduct CT and VT tests.
  • Carry out Secondary Injection Testing.
  • Execute Ductor Testing and HV pressure testing.
  • Perform secondary wiring insulation test using Megger and 2kV.
  • Load PSL and validate.
  • Conduct full scheme functionality testing.
  • Prepare and perform Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) with the customer.
  • Close detected issues (snag list) and share the status with the Project Manager.
  • Interact professionally with the customer during FAT, reflecting Schneider Electric’s core values.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level II PEO, equivalent experience or ONC Electrical Level.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
