Responsibilities
- Perform calibration tests and certify equipment.
- Conduct thorough equipment inspections.
- Test repaired equipment for quality standards.
- Own and run the calibration process using CMMS to ensure compliance with site calibration requirements.
- Schedule appointments for equipment maintenance, servicing, and calibration with third-party vendors.
- Address and troubleshoot production queries and equipment failures.
- Manage equipment repairs via external support.
- Develop supplier performance metrics.
- Analyze and suggest equipment upgrades.
- Maintain and update a record of all daily operations.
- Ensure a complete stock of calibration equipment and supplies.
- Maintain documentation of the calibration process.
- Maintain defined KPIs (OTD, preventative/reactive maintenance, budgets).
- Assist in preparing calibration certificates and data reports.
Qualifications
- Apprenticeship, or related field experience.
- Certificate in one or two of the following: Engineering Maintenance, Instrumentation & Control, Calibration, Electrical and Electronic Principles, PLC Principles.
- Proven work experience as a Calibration Technician or similar role.
- Complete understanding of calibration procedures and testing techniques.
- Familiarity with electrical inspection, testing equipment and quality control tools such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent mechanical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Team player with independent work capability.
- Eye for detail.
- Flexibility to deliver excellent customer service.
