Job Summary: The Storekeeper is responsible for executing daily warehouse operations, including material handling, storage, and inventory movements, in full compliance with company policies and procedures. This role requires a reliable, detail-oriented, and committed individual who takes ownership of their work and contributes to maintaining an efficient, safe, and well-organized warehouse.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against packing lists and purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and good condition.
- Perform daily warehouse tasks including labelling, storing, picking, packing, issuing, and inventory handling.
- Accurately record all material movements in the system (SAP/WMS) to maintain inventory integrity.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring items are properly packed, labelled, and documented.
- Immediately report discrepancies, damages, or inventory issues to the Supervisor.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards in all warehouse and shipping/receiving areas.
- Support cycle counting and periodic physical inventories with a high level of accuracy.
- Assist with kitting, Kanban replenishment, and other materials processes as required.
- Follow all company policies, including QHSE standards, at all times.
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (upon training and certification).
- Actively contribute to improving efficiency, organization, and safety within the warehouse.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or materials handling preferred.
- Basic knowledge of ERP systems (SAP is an advantage).
- Comfortable using computers and tools such as Microsoft Excel or inventory systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
- Responsible, reliable, and highly committed to delivering quality work.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
- Strong team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Forklift experience or certification is an advantage.
