Storekeeper in Stonehouse

Location: Stonehouse, Gloucestershire, UK.

Job Summary: The Storekeeper is responsible for executing daily warehouse operations, including material handling, storage, and inventory movements, in full compliance with company policies and procedures. This role requires a reliable, detail-oriented, and committed individual who takes ownership of their work and contributes to maintaining an efficient, safe, and well-organized warehouse.

Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against packing lists and purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and good condition.
• Perform daily warehouse tasks including labelling, storing, picking, packing, issuing, and inventory handling.
• Accurately record all material movements in the system (SAP/WMS) to maintain inventory integrity.
• Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring items are properly packed, labelled, and documented.
• Immediately report discrepancies, damages, or inventory issues to the Supervisor.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards in all warehouse and shipping/receiving areas.
• Support cycle counting and periodic physical inventories with a high level of accuracy.
• Assist with kitting, Kanban replenishment, and other materials processes as required.
• Follow all company policies, including QHSE standards, at all times.
• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (upon training and certification).
• Actively contribute to improving efficiency, organization, and safety within the warehouse.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or materials handling preferred.
• Basic knowledge of ERP systems (SAP is an advantage).
• Comfortable using computers and tools such as Microsoft Excel or inventory systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
• Responsible, reliable, and highly committed to delivering quality work.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
• Strong team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Forklift experience or certification is an advantage.
