Procurement Intern (Sourcing) – 12 months, starting April 2026

Location: Stonehouse, Gloucestershire
Description & Scope:
- Implements sourcing plans/tactics to manage sourcing activities related to assigned project portfolio.
- Provides sourcing and procurement support, ensuring parts are sourced in a cost‑effective and timely manner from suitable vendors.
- Works with assigned project teams to meet critical project timelines, prioritising work and communicating progress in cadence reviews/through tracking mechanisms.
- Defines part & assembly parameters for systematic Purchase Order release.
- Assesses supplier capabilities and makes recommendations for new supplier onboarding.
- Understands strategies for assigned commodities & proactively drives initiatives to meet departmental objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Order Management
- Process purchase orders and sales orders accurately in ERP systems.
- Track order status and ensure timely delivery.
- Update system when dates have been moved.
- Follow‑up on request for quote (RFQ) packages.
- Ensure accurate documentation, send additional documentation as necessary.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding lead times, deliveries, and order confirmations.
- Resolve discrepancies in invoices or shipments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Operations, Business Economics or a related discipline.
- Process and quality improvement driven.
- Experience with data management and control principles.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, SAP (favourable) or other ERP system.
- Negotiation and decision‑making skills.
