What You Will Do

  • Maintain a tidy and safe working environment that meets the Goal Zero and Life Critical Rules set by the company.
  • Take an active role in Autonomous Maintenance ensuring areas are maintained in an appropriate state of cleanliness/order and condition.
  • Be able and active in making recommendations for improvements to practices and procedures in their area of work.
  • Be aware of, understand and display all Quality and Safety procedures to ensure high quality product is produced, shipped and received by the customer on time.
  • Be responsible for the safe operation of blending units on the Fawley site, ensuring quality, housekeeping and environmental standards are maintained at the highest level in accordance to company policy.
  • Be aware of the Permit to Work system on the Fawley site.
  • Be fully conversant with all safety and emergency procedures involving the Fawley Site such that they can become a member of the Site response Team and know what to do in the event of an incident/emergency – Emergency Preparedness.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Numeracy and literacy skills are required, alongside a good attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in Plant Operations.
  • A team player who is keen to learn and able to adapt to changing scenarios while always maintaining and improving safety standards.
  • Forklift driving is a requirement and the specific training for this is provided.

Physical Demands

  • This role requires working in a chemical manufacturing plant and is based on the Fawley refinery.
  • As part of your role, you are required to work a shift pattern that includes night shifts.

You will also be expected to participate in the weekend duty technician rota as required by the business.

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

  • Previous exposure to operating chemical blenders and reactors processes.
