A well-established organisation within the manufacturing sector, based in Cornubia, is seeking an HR Officer to support and manage a broad range of human resources functions across the business. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident handling both operational HR tasks and employee engagement.
You will play a key role in ensuring smooth HR operations, maintaining compliance, and supporting employees across various departments.
WHAT YOU WILL DO- Manage onboarding processes, including contracts, personnel files, and employee documentation
- Maintain and update all employee records and HR documentation
- Coordinate recruitment processes, including advertising, screening, and interview scheduling
- Administer leave, medical aid, pension, and payroll-related documentation
- Support performance management processes, including probation reviews and annual assessments
- Assist with the development and updating of job descriptions
- Coordinate training initiatives, including sourcing providers and booking courses
- Provide HR support and assist with employee queries across departments
- Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and labour legislation
- Support Health & Safety processes, including maintaining records and committee coordination
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an HR role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
