Job description:

  • Carry out routine servicing of lift equipment, including minor repair work and the routine replacement of components in accordance with approved company procedures (PPE, PDA, Expert+ etc).
  • Rectify and reduce faults on lift equipment in cases of breakdown and check to confirm correct functioning.
  • Check the lift function as part of maintenance, checks to include speed, motor start/stop, weight, noise, temperature and power supplies using approved company issued tooling and protective equipment.
  • Conduct the routine inspection and adjustment of lift in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Reinstate lift and complete service documentation.
  • Carry out more advanced fault finding and diagnostic procedures using a range of techniques, technical manuals and appropriate test equipment, restoring equipment to service.
  • Conduct site surveys.

Profile description:

  • Previous experience in lift servicing, maintenance or repairs is preferred.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Lift Maintenance (or an equivalent qualification).
  • Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge, with experience working on multi-brand equipment.
  • Excellent fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and maintain high standards of efficiency.
  • Confident working independently, with a flexible and proactive approach.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, Service Leaders and Inspectors.
  • Good manual dexterity, with the ability to safely use hands, arms and feet for repetitive tasks, operate hand and power tools, and complete written records.
