Job description:
- Conducting routine servicing of lift/escalator equipment, including minor repair work and the routine replacement of components in accordance with approved company procedures (PPE, PDA, Expert+ etc).
- Rectifying and reducing faults on lift/escalator equipment in cases of breakdown and check to confirm correct functioning.
- Checking the lift/escalator function as part of maintenance, checks to include speed, motor start/stop, weight, noise, temperature, and power supplies using approved company issued tooling and protective equipment.
- Conducting the routine inspection and adjustment of lift/escalator in accordance with approved procedures.
- Reinstating lift/escalator and complete service documentation.
- Conducting more advanced fault finding and diagnostic procedures using a range of techniques, technical manuals, and appropriate test equipment, restoring equipment to service.
- Competence is required to make effective use of written or graphical information.
- Conducting site surveys and attend all relevant training sessions to keep up to date on technical knowledge and skills.
Profile description:
- Experience in Lift/Escalator Servicing/Maintenance/Repairs preferred.
- Qualified to NVQ level 3 minimum in Lift/Escalator maintenance or equivalent.
- Advanced Electrical and Mechanical knowledge, including multi-brand equipment.
- The ability to work independently with a flexible approach.
- Effective communication skills at various levels (Client/Service Leader/Inspectors).
- Manual dexterity - Requires the use of hands, arms, and feet for repetitive lifting; use of hands and arms to operate various hand and power tools and to record written information.
- Proven fault finding and diagnostic skills.
- Good administration skills and punctuality.
- Full UK driving license.
