Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing of lift/escalator equipment, including minor repair work and routine replacement of components in accordance with approved company procedures (PPE, PDA, Expert+ etc).
- Rectify and reduce faults on lift/escalator equipment in cases of breakdown and check to confirm correct functioning.
- Check lift/escalator function as part of maintenance; checks include speed, motor start/stop, weight, noise, temperature and power supplies using approved company‑issued tooling and protective equipment.
- Conduct routine inspection and adjustment of lift/escalator in accordance with approved procedures.
- Reinstate lift/escalator and complete service documentation.
- Carry out advanced fault‑finding and diagnostic procedures using a range of techniques, technical manuals and appropriate test equipment, restoring equipment to service.
- Conduct site surveys.
- Experience in lift/escalator servicing, maintenance or repairs is preferred.
Qualifications and Skills
- NVQ Level3 (or equivalent) in lift/escalator maintenance or related field.
- Advanced electrical and mechanical knowledge, including multi‑brand equipment.
- Advanced problem‑solving skills.
- Experience leading projects and teams.
- Full UK driving licence.
- The ability to work under pressure, to deadlines and within efficiencies.
- The ability to work independently with a flexible approach.
- Good communication skills at different levels (Client, Service Leader, Inspectors).
- Good punctuality.
