Mobility is the goal. The Project Director creates operational added value through project planning and execution, sales and service to customers in Large Projects.

Manage large projects which have more than 25 units of lifts and escalators. Develop a comprehensive project management plan including scheduling, resource and capacity planning, and quality assurance. Manage all project-related tasks to achieve the project objectives on time and within the cost target by strictly enforcing quality, safety, and customer satisfaction throughout the entire duration of the project.

Assure effective project management, smooth and timely communication with all parties involved, including the representatives of the customer. Planning and controlling budget. Sell variation orders timely to reach financial objectives. Follow the process-oriented Project Management from award until handover, including all statutory requirements and deliverables.

Ensure compliance with Schindler Organizational Norms, policies, procedures, and requirements of the process and quality hold points defined in the work instructions of the Top Range Excellence process. Sign off as defined for major projects, execute all contractual terms to continuously protect Schindler's financial entitlements. Lead the project team and assign adequate authorities and responsibilities. Attract, retain, and develop employees to meet current and future business needs. Contributes and leads various strategic actions across the new installations department.

Mobility needs you

  • Degree / Diploma in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 15 years of technical experience in lifts or related construction industry
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Strong project management competence
  • Possess leadership and organizational skills
  • Great interpersonal skills and customer oriented
  • Good initiative and able to provide hands-on support to the project team
  • Collaborative approach, strong team-working skills and self-motivated
