Join us as a
Lift Repair Engineer
We are looking for a Lift Repair Engineer to join Rubax covering South London, responsible for carrying out a wide range of lift repair and upgrade works across various equipment types. The role includes fault finding, conducting site surveys, ordering materials, and completing both planned and reactive repairs. You will also be responsible for upgrading obsolete equipment and carrying out health and safety improvements to ensure compliance with industry standards. Working closely with the Service Department, you will help return lifts to service efficiently, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and sites are left clean, safe, and tidy.
Your main responsibilities
- Completing repair work within agreed timescales
- Returning out-of-service lifts to operation where possible
- Supporting the Service Team with fault finding and repairs
- Using technical drawings, manuals, and written instructions effectively
- Carrying out product corrective actions as required
- Conducting site surveys to identify repair requirements and support accurate quotations
- Completing service records and PDA reports accurately and in detail
- Communicating professionally with customers and colleagues, providing updates as needed
- Following all Company Health & Safety policies, procedures, and UK legal requirements
- Demonstrating safe working practices at all times
- Using handheld devices and other technology to record work activities
- Supporting Repair Apprentices with their training and NVQ qualifications
- Promoting a strong culture of safety and compliance across all work activities
What you bring
- Proven experience in Lift Servicing/ Maintenance/ Repairs preferred (min 5 years)
- Qualified to NVQ level 3 minimum in Lift maintenance/repairs
- The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Flexibility
- Full UK driving License required
