Responsibilities:
- The Static‑Site Cover Engineer will provide reliable, professional cover across multiple static Schindler locations.
- The role requires strong technical capability, excellent customer engagement, and the ability to work independently while maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards.

This role is critical in maintaining service continuity, meeting client expectations, and supporting operational resilience across the static portfolio.
What you bring:
- NVQ Level 3 or NVQ Level 4 in Lift Engineering (or an equivalent recognised qualification).
- Full UK driving licence.
Technical Requirements:
- Extensive and proven knowledge of Schindler products, including 3300, 5500, 7000, PORT technology, Schindler controllers, operating panels, and associated door equipment.
- Ability to diagnose, repair, and escalate technical issues efficiently across the full Schindler product range.
- Strong familiarity with Schindler safety policies, TWT processes, RAMS documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Competent in completing job sheets, risk assessments, site reports, and all necessary statutory documentation.
- Able to work across a mix of shift profiles including 12‑hour cover, weekday rotations, and multi‑site deployment.
Operational Requirements:
- Experience within a static engineering environment or high‑volume service role.
- Ability to provide consistent cover for holidays, training days, and unplanned absence without compromising service delivery.
- Strong organisational ability to manage varying demands across several sites.
- Confidence working alone and making safe, informed decisions on active sites.
- Effective communication to maintain high standards of client interaction, especially at high‑profile locations.
