This is a full-time, permanent role based in Birmingham. You will support customer communications, complement and assist the local management team, and provide front of house customer contact within the Birmingham Housing business unit to ensure equipment runs safely and reliably.
Responsibilities
- Respond to calls or repairs within the contractual time frame
- Support and cooperate with colleagues throughout the Company in a positive, helpful and respectful manner
- Comply fully with the Company’s field objectives and reporting systems
- Comply with the Company’s quality system and participate in its continuous development
- Maintenance and servicing of lifting equipment, including but not limited to lifts, platform units and hoists
- Carry out other field engineering duties as required
- Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures
- Work in accordance with established Company Occupational Health and Safety policies and current UK legal requirements and Schindler Group safety requirements
- Set a personal example of safe behaviour and contribute to Company safety objectives
- Maintain/monitor safety systems under direct control and implement changes to Schindler Ltd health and safety management system when applicable
- Collaborate with the team to prioritise and manage workload
What You Bring
- Proven experience in Lift Servicing/Maintenance/Repairs (preferred)
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3 minimum in Lift maintenance
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Flexibility and good problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills at different levels (client/Service Leader/Inspectors)
- Customer-focused with a high level of service to internal and external customers
- Team player, willing to support colleagues
- Proactive with ability to identify and prioritise workload
- Delivers on commitments
- Good time management and forward planning
- Holds a full UK Driving Licence
