Schenk UK is an innovative, national tanker haulage business operating one of the largest road tanker fleets in the country. For over 60 years, we have proudly served the chemicals, gas, fuels, waste, and powders sectors, becoming the UK's largest chemical transporter.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Class 1 LGV driver to join our team based in Harwich, working a 5 from 7 tramping shift per week. This role is focused on collecting Petroleum distillate products and delivering them to Harwich.
Pay Rates
- 45 hours guarantee per week £18.04 per hour with 8 hour guarantee per shift – This rate is inclusive of Southern Weighting
- £27.06 per hour overtime – applicable after 8 hours worked Monday-Friday and first 5 hours on Saturday
- £36.08 per hour overtime for Saturdays after 5 hours worked
- £36.08 per hour overtime for Sundays and bank holidays
- £36.17 Night out allowance
- Fully Paid Breaks
Essential Requirements
- An LGV Class 1 licence with no more than six points
- A tachograph card
- A Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
- A valid ADR licence all classes other than 1 & 7
- A strong understanding of Driver Transport Legislation
- A safety focus
- Minimum 2 years Class 1 experience
- At least 2 years Tanker Experience
- A valid PDP (Petroleum Driver Passport)
The Package
In addition, overtime is available. CPC training hours, courses and CPC accreditation, and driver medicals are all paid for. Full PPE is provided. If you hold an LGV Class 1 License with no more than 6 points, Driver CPC, and a desire to put Safety First, you could be starting a rewarding career at Schenk.
