We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Administrator to support the efficient day-to-day operation of our depot. This role is integral to ensuring administrative processes run smoothly while providing accurate, timely, and professional support to both internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will coordinate a wide range of administrative functions, including payroll administration, purchase order management, invoice query resolution, PPE ordering, and general operational support.
Acting as a key point of contact for depot administration matters, you will help ensure compliance with company procedures while maintaining effective communication with drivers, customers, suppliers, and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out a variety of depot operational administration tasks.
- Process weekly payroll and support driver administration activities.
- Raise and manage purchase orders and resolve invoice queries.
- Maintain accurate depot records, databases, and filing systems.
- Support compliance-related administration activities as required.
- Raise, track, and manage PPE orders.
- Provide administrative support to the wider team, including holiday and absence cover.
- Ensure all administrative tasks are completed accurately and within required timescales.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced office or administrative environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with colleagues, customers, suppliers, and drivers.
- A proactive, forward-thinking approach with strong attention to detail.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Competency in Microsoft Office applications and general administrative systems.
