SchemeServe is insurance software. Our platform is used by insurance brokers, MGAs and insurers to build, design and manage their own insurance products (insurance schemes). These schemes are built on SchemeServe, either by the customer or by our ‘Wunderwriters’ – which is where this role comes in!

SchemeServe is a fully remote company; however, we do meet twice a year for a Team Retreat (one in March, one in September). These are of utmost importance to the company and are used as a time to share ideas, relax, and get to know each other better. Activities at these Retreats have involved Archery Tag, Murder Mystery nights, inflatable obstacle courses and axe throwing.

We absolutely prize self-development and encourage staff to continue learning and set new challenges for themselves. Free books? Mentoring? Professional Development? You got it.

We also offer flexible working, paid days to do charity work, a warm and friendly working environment, plus a relaxed and open company culture.

You’ll fit right in if you are:

  • A people person who’s passionate about making brilliant relationships with your co-workers;
  • A curious person who thrives on challenge;
  • Self-motivated and thorough in your approach;
  • Daring and happy to go against the grain.

What is an Insurance Software Scheme Technician?

Also known as ‘Wunderwriters’, this role exists to support SchemeServe customers by responding to requests for help, troubleshooting and building schemes for them using the SchemeServe software. We’re proud that our Support Team are knowledgeable about the insurance industry, therefore we need people with previous experience in insurance (or experience as an underwriter) to build our customers’ insurance schemes using SchemeServe.

This role also requires someone with expert communication skills, and who is comfortable using Excel. Since we are a software company (and this role entails using our software quite a bit), a curiosity for software and natural comfort around it is a must. This role also involves consulting with freshly signed clients to understand their scheme requirements and assist them with getting their product live. Therefore, being great at customer service, friendly and personable is a major plus!

Requirements:

  • Expert communicator
  • Experience in the insurance industry, or as an underwriter
  • A natural comfort with software
  • Personable and a team player
  • UK based (although the position is fully remote)

This role is about the right attitude and person, with all levels of experience considered.
