POSITION SUMMARY
We\’re seeking a Client Manager with exceptional project management skills for a 6-month temporary contract.
The Package Driver operates as the first point of contact between SGK & the client, adding efficiencies to the business, providing superior technical knowledge at the source. The role is part of the “total solution”, leading client projects, aiding in right first-time results, speed to market, and cost-saving initiatives. They build effective relationships with client contacts. This role ensures the efficient coordination of projects from estimation to completion. The Account Manager uses an understanding of the company\’s and the client\’s industry, business, and products to identify opportunities to sell added solutions to meet existing client needs.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as a central point of contact for our client, building trusted relationships and proactively representing the team in high-level meetings, projects, and initiatives.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities in processes, performance, and collaboration—ensuring we consistently exceed expectations.
- Coordinate across teams and time zones, helping the client translate goals into results, while maintaining focus on quality and client satisfaction.
- Set up projects in the client’s system, create cost estimates & PO requests.
- Brief preparation for studio (1st build/amends/repro) using brand/packaging knowledge.
- Query follow-up/resolution.
- Managing deadlines, follow-ups on pending actions/documents, escalation of issues to project owner, and estimation of realistic FTPs whenever targets are at risk.
- Conduct internal pre-production meetings, lead weekly tracker/forecast meetings, and manage/ad hoc services coordination.
- Regularly update the client’s forecast.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
You’re a natural relationship-builder, confident communicator, and problem-solver with a keen eye for detail. Experience in pre-press repro or an understanding of packaging print would be a strong advantage.
This role is based in Newcastle one day a week, but fully remote work will be considered.
