Your Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of lean tools and procedures.
- Train others on Lean topics/basic tools and moderate advanced tool classes.
- Understand KPIs to interpret, teach and implement changes in operational activities including workshops, problem solving activities, etc.
- Participate in improvement projects, workshops and activities, as assigned.
- Participate in Lean reviews and other audits (e.g. 8 Success Factors). Track and complete any follow-on actions.
- Maintain and improve the Shop Floor Management (SFM) system.
- Challenge the status quo with improvement ideas.
- Promote and model by example the Lean standard.
Your Qualifications
- Enrolled in BS/BA degree in Engineering (Preferably Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering).
- Passion for production operations and knowledge of the associated support processes.
- Experience with developing and documenting processes (technical and administrative).
- Knowledge of Quality Systems.
- Hands-on manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Good training and facilitation skills.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead improvement projects and follow-up procedures.
- Eligible to participate in a 16 month internship through your institution.
