Competitive wages – starting rate: $30.62; top rate: $34.50 per hour + shift premiums (wage is assigned based on skill and ability and position). Eligible for medical and dental benefits the 1st of the month following date of hire. Regular increases, dependent upon performance, until top rate is reached. Opportunities for advancement into varying positions with higher pay scales. Up to 6% in Pension Matching Contributions, effective 60 days from benefits activation. An annual Defined Profit-Sharing Plan (dependent upon company performance). Employee Discount programs are available for all employees. Clean, bright and climate-controlled production areas.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate a minimum of one production process performing single and/or multiple functions, which may include CNC or manually controlled equipment.
  • Perform problem solving and troubleshoot to resolve production/process issues to meet required standards.
  • Responsible for quality and quantity of work produced by process.
  • Monitor production process according to maintenance schedule and perform routine maintenance in a timely manner.
  • Required to perform inspection of own work using precision measuring equipment as provided or directed to assess quality of work.
  • Follow and accurately record data as directed or required in routers, IMS and any other production tracking systems.
  • Required to train other operators as needed.
  • May be required to work in other departments or occasionally to set up a machine for others to operate.
  • Ability to read and interpret production prints.
  • Requires adequate computer skills to access production procedures to perform the required work.
  • Responsible for excellent housekeeping and maintaining 5S in all areas.
  • Meet the skill requirements identified in the applicable training matrix and maintain certification through company Certified Operator Program.

Your Qualifications:

  • Education: Grade 12 diploma.
  • Experience: Have demonstrated competency as Grinding Set Up Operator or equivalent machining background.
  • Candidate must be able to pass Canadian Controlled Goods Assessment and criminal background check and be compliant with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

NOTE: Exemptions to the Canadian government to grant temporary residents/international students access to their export controlled goods is required and takes a minimum of 2 months from offer acceptance for processing. This may delay start dates for candidates on temporary work permits.
