Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Work under direct supervision of immediate Leader and routine operational guidance of others
  • Follow standard work instructions and work specifications
  • Collect, record, document and enter all data as required
  • Operate all machines and perform required change over activities within the defined work area as per operator certification process
  • Set up, calibrate and maintain all tools, measuring devices, equipment, systems, processes and machines which are used to perform work
  • Complete changeover documentation and first piece paperwork as required
  • Perform required operator TPM (Total Preventative Maintenance)
  • Perform intermediate problem solving and troubleshoot to resolve production/process issues to meet required standards
  • Responsible for quality and quantity of work produced by process
  • Perform inspection on own work using precision measuring equipment as provided or directed to assess quality of work
  • Required to train other operators as needed
  • May be required to work in other departments or to set up a process for others to operate
  • Able to read and interpret production prints
  • Confirm operational/technical questions with area Setter (and/or Technician where applicable) or Leader when necessary

  • Education: Grade 12 diploma
  • Experience: Perform successfully as an Operator Level I within the work area or have equivalent work experience
  • Skills: Meets training requirements defined for the position
