Your Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate a minimum of one CNC grinding production process performing single, multi-function and multi-sequencing operations on a universal grinding machine, which may include chucking and shoe work holding methods.
- Set up and operate a minimum of one CNC lathe production process (pertinent only to Large Cell).
- Follow standard work instructions and work specifications.
- Perform problem solving and troubleshoot to resolve production/process issues to meet required standards.
- Responsible for quality and quantity of work produced by process.
- Monitor production process according to maintenance schedule and perform routine maintenance in timely manner.
- Required to perform inspection of own work using precision measuring equipment as provided or directed to assess quality of work.
- Follow and accurately record data as directed or required in routers, IMS and any other production tracking systems.
- Required to train other operators as needed.
- May be required to work in other departments or occasionally to set up a machine for others to operate.
- Ability to read and interpret production prints.
- Requires adequate computer skills to access production procedures to perform the required work.
- Responsible for excellent housekeeping and maintaining 5S in all areas.
Your Qualifications:
- Education: Grade 12 diploma.
- Experience: Have demonstrated competency as Grinding Set Up Operator or equivalent machining background.
- General Machinist Trade certificate / Canada Red Seal Journeyperson Machinist.
