SCENE is looking for a Senior Technical Interior Designer to help lead the delivery of technical interior design packages across a growing portfolio of hospitality, workspace, co-living and residential projects. This is a key role within the studio, suited to someone who enjoys bridging creative design with technical coordination and wants the opportunity to help shape the systems, standards and workflows behind a fast-growing design studio.

You’ll help lead projects through the technical design stages, ensuring drawing packages are coordinated, accurate and clearly issued across all deliverables. The role involves working closely with consultants, contractors and the wider design team to keep projects moving efficiently and delivered to a high standard. We’re looking for someone who enjoys both technical coordination and problem solving and who is excited by the opportunity to help shape the systems and delivery standards behind a growing design studio. This role offers the chance to take real ownership across projects while helping build the operational structure of the studio as it continues to scale.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Producing Stage 03 and Stage 04 drawing packages
  • Developing GA plans and RCPs
  • Coordinating technical information
  • Producing joinery packages and technical details
  • Managing drawing registers and issue processes
  • Coordinating schedules
  • Supporting contractor and consultant coordination
  • Assisting with studio technical standards
  • Helping build scalable delivery systems across the studio

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years professional experience delivering interior design projects within commercial environments
  • Proven ability to lead projects with strong experience managing technical design stages
  • Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations, fire compliance and hospitality design requirements
  • Experience producing and coordinating Stage 03 and Stage 04 drawing packages
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills with confidence in client-facing environments
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, SketchUp and Microsoft Office
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple fast-moving projects
  • Proactive, collaborative and confident working within a growing studio environment
  • Experience building and maintaining strong client relationships across complex project lifecycles
  • Confident coordinating with contractors, consultants and wider design teams
  • Strong understanding of technical detailing, spatial coordination and buildability
