Whilst residential development remains a core part of our portfolio, we are increasingly working directly with contractors, developers and delivery teams on complex mixed‑use schemes incorporating residential, retail, commercial and community uses.

As our workload continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced technical professional to strengthen our technical team and play a key role in the future development of the practice.

This is an opportunity for someone who wants to do more than simply deliver projects.

We are looking for an ambitious, proactive individual who can add real value to our team, help shape our technical standards, mentor colleagues and contribute to the continued growth of the business.

The Role

We are seeking either

  • A Senior Architect with strong technical and delivery experience; or
  • A Senior Architectural Technologist with extensive project leadership experience.

The successful candidate will take ownership of projects through technical design, tender and construction stages, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors and the wider design team.

You will play a leading role in ensuring projects are coordinated, buildable, compliant and delivered to the highest standards.

  • Lead the technical design and delivery of residential and mixed‑use developments.
  • Produce and oversee high‑quality tender and construction information.
  • Develop robust and coordinated construction detailing.
  • Manage project programmes, deliverables and technical outputs.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams.
  • Liaise directly with clients, contractors and developers.
  • Resolve complex technical and construction issues.
  • Support and mentor junior team members.
  • Contribute to practice standards, quality assurance and technical development.
  • Assist directors with project planning, resource management and project delivery strategies.
  • Help drive continuous improvement across the technical team.
  • Minimum 10 years post‑qualification experience.
  • Qualified Architect or Senior Architectural Technologist.
  • Proven experience delivering residential and mixed‑use developments.
  • Strong understanding of contractor‑led procurement routes and project delivery.
  • Excellent technical design and detailing ability.
  • Thorough knowledge of UK Building Regulations.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies and buildability.
  • Experience producing and coordinating tender and construction packages.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Strong communication and client‑facing skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships whilst confidently managing challenging stakeholders.
  • Collaborative approach and commitment to supporting colleagues and developing team culture.
  • High level of commercial awareness and professional judgement.
  • Experience working directly with contractors and developer clients.
  • Experience across residential‑led mixed‑use developments including retail, commercial and community uses.
  • Knowledge of Building Safety Act requirements and Gateway processes.
  • Experience of practice management, quality management systems and project resourcing.
  • Revit experience (although not essential).
  • Experience of BIM coordination and digital project delivery.
  • Software Skills
  • Auto CAD
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Revit
  • For Architects

Applicants from an architectural background should demonstrate strong design ability alongside technical expertise.

You should be capable of developing a concept from early‑stage design through planning and then translating that vision into coordinated, buildable tender and construction information without compromising design quality.

  • Wants to contribute to the long‑term success of the practice.
  • Takes ownership and responsibility.
  • Leads by example.
